As a criminologist and public administrator with a doctorate, Eric is a bridge-builder between the world of practice and science. He started Bureau Bervoets in 2009, with which he (with others) carried out many investigations and other projects in the field of subversion, drug markets and local security. Eric worked at the Police Academy until 2007 and regularly does assignments for the police, the judiciary, municipalities, research institutes and the national government. In 2021, together with Marcel van de Ven, Mirjam Corsel, Kieran Kaal and Govinda Fortuin, he delivered an extensive and in-depth study into vulnerabilities to crime in the (Dutch) world of professional road transport. Eric’s core values are justice, integrity, and connection.
